Senior UI Designer, 2015-2017
At Centro I designed the future of digital media buying. Centro Platform allows users to create, purchase, and track media campaigns across all inventory and buy types combining Direct, Search, Programmatic, DSP, and Social under a single login.
As a Sr. UI Designer and Team Lead I worked with a cross functional team to define product criteria and create elegant and intuitive interfaces and interaction patterns. I was assigned to the Platform team where my focus was integrating our DSP service with the Direct buy platform. This involved creating all of the DSP workflows as well as rethinking navigation and user dashboard pages to incorporate an entirely new data source.
We iterated through the work daily by sketching, designing, prototyping and user testing. I work closely with the UX, Product, Project, and Engineering teams to validate my designs and workflows while similarly checking in with the executive team to make sure the work is aligning the company’s goals.
I helped to guide internal process and projects in an effort to improve Centro as a company. This included our cross-team project management framework, contributing to the companies Tech Blog, updating the technology team onboarding process, and creating a Sharepoint site for distributing HR and company information. I mentored several teammates, working on professional development and skill building. I also worked to position Centro as a leader in the design community by hosting UXD Chicago Meetup events in our office, of which I am a co-organizer.
